Cutlery, as supplied to the RMS Titanic & other White Star Line liners, now available from this web site from Arthur Price, one of the original suppliers.
Arthur Price & Co. were one of the suppliers of premium quality flatware to the luxury dining sections on board the Titanic and other ships in the White Star Line fleet. The pattern supplied was Panel Reed and this pattern has been recreated to mark the centennial. It is available via our site.
In 1912 the company was celebrating its 10th annivarsary with the commission to supply the world's most opulent liner RMS Titanic. The 268 metre-long Titanic was the height of luxury in its day.
Arthur Price have recreated the Panel Reed pattern that was used in the staterooms of the First Class accommodation.
An image of the cutlery found at the wreck site can be seen here - Encyclopedia-Titanica.
The cutlery used in the dining rooms was silver-plated and a variety of patterns were supplied by different companies. When it sank, the Titanic carried over 44,000 pieces of cutlery!
Even to this day there remains an eternal fascination around the tragic voyage. This was partly fuelled by the long-awaited discovery of the ship's wreck on 1st September 1985 and subsequent expeditions to recover artifacts from 2.5 miles below the Atlantic Ocean.
Each knife features the famous White Star Line logo on its blade, just as they were originally.
Genuine Titanic brand cutlery and flatware is available from our web site. All items are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The pattern used on the Titanic was Panel Reed.
The Panel Reed cutlery was recovered from one of the Titanic's copper dishwashers, near the stern section of the wreck in 1994.
We are delighted to say that supplies of this pattern may be ordered from our web site with the original Arthur Price brand cutlery and that the White Star logo is added as standard to all knives. Sets are supplied loose but, should you wish to order a Presentation box, this can be supplied for Pie Knives, Letter Openers or Cheese Knives.
Shown below, we display prices for silver plated items (to a generous 20 microns of silver plating with stainless steel blades) in the Panel Reed pattern.
